A bit of wabi-sabi... on the right side of the grate one brick has the stamp facing up.
The notion of beauty in imperfection is noted throughout the house. A pattern is wrong in just one spot. Or one object doesn't quite match another. The fireplace above is perfect accept for that one brick.
